Open-cell acoustic foam with a pyramid face, 25 or 50 mm deep. Takes the flutter and ring out of booths, studios and practice rooms.
Pyramid foam has rows of small pyramids on its face. Sound enters the sloping sides and loses its energy inside the open cells.
25 mm is the thin, light option for the higher, sharper sounds: the hiss, flutter and ring of voices between bare walls. It suits booths and desks where space is tight.
50 mm reaches lower notes too, taking in more of the body of guitars, keys and drums. For the deepest bass, add corner bass traps.
Good to know: foam stops echo inside the room. It won't block noise from next door.
