What it is

Rough on purpose.

Wood wool boards are long, thin wood fibres (65%) coated in Portland cement (35%) and pressed into a stiff 2400 × 600 mm board, 25 mm thick. The cement mineralises the wood, so the board resists rot, fungus and moisture and is fire rated Class 0.

The strands leave a mass of small open pockets on the face. Sound goes into them and loses its energy: NRC 0.40 fixed flat, and NRC 0.90 over a 50 mm air gap.

It is made without chemical binders, gives off no detectable VOCs, and evens out humidity and heat in the room. The most natural-looking of our wood lines, and a tough surface for busy rooms.

MLV Sound Barrier: Mass Loaded Vinyl barrier. Dense membrane that blocks airborne noise at the wall level. The primary noise-stopper. 2.5mm Sounds up to 90dB 4mm Sounds up to 120dB
Bass Absorber: High-density acoustic absorber. Kills low-frequency bass vibrations that MLV alone cannot block. Sits inside the wall. 20mm NRC 0.85 40mm NRC 1.00
PET Acoustic Panel: Visible finish layer. Controls room echo, covers the barrier layers, and transforms the wall into a premium interior surface. 9mm NRC 0.30, 100+ designs
