Acoustic baffle ceilings
Ceiling baffles are vertical blades of recycled-PET felt hung in rows from the slab. Because both faces absorb sound, a baffle ceiling treats a large volume of air with little material, and it keeps the slab, ducts and lights visible and accessible.
Numobel baffles come in four profiles (A, I, O and V), in 48 colours, sold in packs by size. Each baffle uses the same 9 mm PET felt as our acoustic panels (NRC 0.75โ0.85).
Frequently asked questions
How far apart should ceiling baffles be?
A common starting spacing is 300โ600 mm between rows. Closer rows absorb more; wider rows look lighter. We can suggest a layout from your ceiling plan.
How are baffles hung?
Baffles hang from the slab on steel cables or rods with ceiling anchors, either as suspended rows or clipped to a channel.
